Chapter 1. General Provisions

• Article 1. Purpose
  The purpose of this agreement is to prescribe all terms, procedures and other related matters necessary to provide all of KIS online membership services.
• Article 2. Validity and Amendment
  (1) This agreement goes into force by announcing to the users.
  (2) KIS may amend this agreement if any important changes arise in its business environment. Such amendments shall become effective in the manner provided for under the foregoing paragraph.
• Article 3. Applicable Laws and Regulations
  Matters not specifically prescribed in this agreement shall be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Chapter 2. Member Registration and Service Utilization

• Article 1. Validity of Service Contract
  The service contract shall become effective when the company accepts user applications for the service and the user accepts the terms and conditions of this agreement. To utilize the service as a member, the applicant shall provide his/her personal information as required.
  The company shall reject service contracts falling under any of the following:
  ① If registered in the name of another person
  ② If any false information is provided in the application form or in its attachments
  ③ If abuse of the service is intended against the social order and customs
• Article 2. Service Utilization and Restriction
  Service shall be available 24 hours a day throughout the year unless the company experiences any business or technical difficulties.
  No one shall process for commercial use of or resell the listed information to third parties. The company may, without giving advance notice, delete any information listed or submitted by users but falling under any of the following:
  ① Information or argument that accuses or defames others
  ② Information that violates public order and social customs
  ③ Information feared to be related to criminal acts
  ④ Information that infringes copyrights and/or other rights of any third parties
  ⑤ Information that violates the related laws and/or regulations provided for by the company
  The company may suspend the service as required for regular or occasional system maintenance or other reasons.

Chapter 3. Acceptance of Obligations

• Article 1. The Company's Obligations
  Unless the company has any extraordinary circumstances, the company shall provide such service as requested by users.
  The company shall continue the service constantly as provided for in this agreement.
  The company shall exert its utmost effort to protect the personal information of the users. Such personal information shall be used for purposes other than providing quality service or its improvement. It shall not be leaked to any institutions or third parties.
  The company shall immediately address any rightful suggestions or complaints raised by users. Otherwise, the company shall notify the corresponding users as to the reason or schedule for delayed action to such suggestions or complaints.
• Article 2. Users' Obligations
  Users shall be solely responsible for protection of their ID and password.
  In case a third party abuses one's ID, the corresponding user shall notify the company of such abuse without delay.
  The users shall observe all the provisions of this agreement and the relevant laws and regulations.

Chapter 4. Withdrawal or Service Restriction

• Article 1. Contract Withdrawal and Service Restriction
  To withdraw from this agreement, the user shall personally notify the company by sending an e-mail to webmaster@kisrating.com.
  The withdrawal shall be effected by checking the user's ID, resident registration number, and reasons for withdrawal against the information provided at the time of membership registration. If a user commits any one of the following acts, the company may terminate the service permanently or suspend the service for a certain period of time without any advance notice:
  ① When a user abuses the ID and password of another user without his consent;
  ② When a user commits acts that are detrimental to the service such as inflicting damage to the service;
  ③ When a user defames others or causes damage to others;
  ④ When a user subscribes for the service twice using some other person's ID;
  ⑤ When a user commits acts violating the public order or social customs;
  ⑥ When a user uses the service for purposes harmful to the national or public interests;
  ⑦ When a user is involved in criminal acts
  ⑧ When a user violates the relevant laws and regulations or any provisions of this agreement; or
  ⑨ When a user has not accessed the company’s website for more than three months.
